Today's Passage: 1 Chronicles 16:35
Memory Verse: Same

"Save us, O God of our salvation; gather us together, and deliver us from the Gentiles, to give thanks to Your holy name, and to triumph in Your praise."

Hello, Friends & Lifers! Are you ready to recieve what God has for you today? Have you prepared yourself for the encounter with the Father you're gonna have today? If you didn't, you should've. But don't be discouraged, because there's still time. You can begin the process of setting your mind on the glory of God right now.

Our passage for the day is a praise of anticipation. David was giving God glory for what He was going to do. "Save us!" he exclaimed. He knew that the first thing God's presence did to us was expose our need for Him. We should always remember to make our services about Him. He deserves the worship, not us. When we refuse to submit ourselves to the move of His spirit, we become like the Pharisees who felt they were perfect and therefore didn't need God's salvation. David then asked God to gather the people together. Why do Christians who say they love Jesus skip church? I'll tell you why. First, it's because church, as we know it, has lost its relevance, and second, because religion has taught us church is more meaningful on holidays. We should want to be together. We should want to turn out in big numbers in order for God to see His workmanship. David understood it takes unity in numbers to access God's power.

In conclusion, David offered a praise of thanksgiving. He knew it took an attitude of gratitude to set the atmosphere. He hadn't recieved what God was going to give him yet, but he still said thanks. When you praise God by faith, it allows you to have access to things you shouldn't have access to. By giving God praise the way he did, David gained access to victory. He said, "To give thanks to Your holy name, and to TRIUMPH in Your praise." What does that mean? It means if you praise, you win. It's that simple. So get ready for an awesome day in the Lord. Let's come together, be thankful, and see our victory manifested. Having this mindset makes one excited about entering into God's presence. Get ready, my friends...it's going to be an awesome day!

Prayer:
Father, I'm coming into Your house to bless You and serve You. I want to be in Your presence today. I need You to live big in me and have free reign in my life. Thank You for all You've done. Because of Your sacrifice I will always be totally devoted to You and only You, in Jesus' name...Amen
