Blessings, Friends & Lifers! As you get ready for church this morning (if that's when you're reading this) I want you to get excited about who you're going to honor today....Jesus. Think of Him as your Hero. Well, He is, isn't He? So many times people have let you down or been insensitive to you. But Jesus never has. So when you get to church today, let yourself fall in love with Him all over again.

Do you remember the Superman movies with Christopher Reeves? He loved Lois Lane, didn't he? One night, he decided to take her for a flight. Trusting him, she took his hand and off they went. While flying at those high altitudes, she knew he'd never let her fall. She was so confident as a matter of fact, she tried flying at the end of his arm instead of in his arm. Oops! She immediately started to fall; instantly realizing the further away from him she was, the less ability she had to fly. It's the same with us. The further away from our "Hero" we get, the less we possess the ability to fly over our sin and failure.

So let this day be about Him. Let your thoughts be about Him. Try not to get distracted or discouraged today. If you open your heart and truly praise and worship Him, He'll leap over the tall buildings of your life with a single bound. He'll show up when you need Him most and vanquish your enemies. He's here to save us. He'll keep us in His care. And guess what, He'll even let you wear His armor, yeah...His supersuit!!! So don't be afraid of the enemy. He has no power over you. The only authority he has over you is the authority you give him. So don't give him any. Stand on the promise that when the enemy comes in like a flood, He'll lift up a standard (block) against him. He'll never let you down, like the true Hero you can depend on.

Prayer:
What an awesome God You are. You've never left me alone. Thank You God for always being there for me. I remember reading when You saved David from the lion and the bear. Then You saved Him from the giant Goliath. When the Goliath of my life came, You were right there for me. I am so grateful. You're my Strong Tower and Deliverer. In Jesus' name....Amen!
