It Ain't Over Til It's Over!!!!

Hello Friends & Lifers! Did you see that college basketball game the other night? Okay, I get it. I'm the sports fan on this blog. Anyway, the visiting team dominated the game from the opening tip-off. They out-rebounded the home team, made more shots, and committed less turnovers. It had gotten so bad, the home fans started to leave the arena with about five minutes left in the game. At the 4:38 mark, the home team got a spark via a steal that went back for a score. That was followed by a foul on the visiting team who was ahead by 14 points at the time. Well to make a long story short, the home team won the game by making a 3pt shot at the final second. Why am I sharing this with you? I'm glad you ask. During the post-game interview, the reporter asked the player what his motivation was for hitting the game winning shot. He said: "Our team had a promise. Coach promised our team a victory if we gave it everything we had. So even when we were down, we kept telling ourselves it ain't over til it's over, give it all you got". Wow!

We all live by the promises of God. He's never gone back on His word nor has He failed us. Sometimes in life, we feel we've fallen so far behind the fulfillment of that promise because of age, finances, health, or education. But God hasn't forgotten us. When He's involved, it ain't over til it's over. I'm reminded of the Shunemite woman who made room for the prophet Elisha in her home. For she and her husband's faithfullness, God promised them a child who later fell ill and died. The woman's distress made her feel hopeless, as if the Lord was no longer with her. But when is He NOT with us? Didn't He say in His word He'd be with us always, even until the end of the world? After hearing of the tragedy, Elisha immediately returned to the couple's home where God used him to bring the child back to life.

My Friends, no matter how dire your situation may seem, keep believing. Even if everything in you says it's over, keep fighting. Keep doing what God told you to do. Keep speaking life over what God promised you. He's still in control. If that basketball team had trusted their natural eyes, the scoreboard would have told them to quit. The smiles on the faces of the other team would have told them it's time to give in. And if the woman had trusted what she saw, she would have buried her promise without a glimmer of hope. But they that wait on the Lord (and not what they see) will get renewed strength. So trust him. He's got your back. Always remember you're not alone. And no matter what the situation looks like, it ain't over 'til it's over!!!!

Prayer:
Keep me in Your care Lord as I continue on this journey. My focus will always be on what you've promised, not on what things seem to be. My faith is completely in You. And I will not be moved. In Jesus' Name...Amen!

What a great word to start my day!!! i have done things that have caused serious wounds to those I love and there are moments that i feel i have crossed the line to far. But i do have a promise from God and no matter how i have turned away from that promise or how long it has taken me to realize "Hey, this promise is for me!!!What am i doing in this place when i should be in that one!!" We arre all testimonies of it aint over til its over. In eyes of the world and of satan, our lives were done for and his claws werre sunk deep into our souls. BUT WAIT!!!! Jesus said "no, it aint over and neither are they!" So much can change in our lives when we change our minds and renew it with Christ. I stand firm on Gods promises to me. Blessings and favor to all yall!!!
