'It's beginning to look alot like.....HUMP Day'!

Hello Lifers and Friends!  I hope you are living and thriving in the Word of God this week.  Well, we're here again.  We've finally arrived for the Christmas holidays.  I know you've already seen the commercials.  And if you look around, decorations of every style and flair are at a premium.  It is truly beginning to look alot like Christmas.

The Christmas season changes the atmosphere doesn't it?  It sets us up for new things.  We make new commitments, find new hope, and pursue new dreams.  Is it because of the sales?  Is it because of the trees, or the lights?  No.  It's because a Son was given.  Yes, that's right, something was GIVEN.  When a person receives a gift, newness comes into their life.  And therefore, something inside them is made alive again.  See, the gift of the Christ-Child gave that newness to the world.  Because of Him, hope was restored, redemption was applied, and His coming signified we could have a relationship with the Father again.  So as believers, we give gifts for that same purpose.  We want people to hope again, believe again, and be directed back to the heart of the Father.

So as you prepare your lists this year, put someone on it who wouldn't normally be on it.  Maybe it's an uncle that has been forgotten.  Maybe its an incarcerated loved-one that has seemingly been thrown away.  Giving these souls a reason to believe again is the very reason for the season.  Happy HUMP Day!

Prayer:  Father, I need You to do 3 things for me this holiday season. One, help me show Your love.  And two, help me show Your love. Oh, and three, help me show Your love. In Jesus' name....Amen
