H.U.M.P. Day (Birthday Edition)

Wednesday September 29, 2010

Hello, Friends & Lifers!

"God will provide rain for the seeds you sow.  The grain that grows will be abundant"!
  Isa 30:23 (Mess.)

This is a special HUMP Day.  Our Pastor, Chad L. Willis, celebrated his 37th birthday yesterday.  So we're taking time out to honor him this week.  It's so important for us to appreciate good leadership, and Pastor Chad is good leadership.  The Word of God is truly a life-walk for him.  Being a man who probably would have been successful at any career choice, he chose to follow God's call to empower us.  You'll never smell the smoke of persecution on him, nor will you find his personal life in contradiction to his spiritual one.  He offers everything, but asks for nothing.  Success for him is victory for you.  And he lives for the joy of God's people being restored.

Our mission this week is to appreciate our Pastor and friend.  The plan is to bring a $10 seed of love with us to church on Sunday.  We are going to pin them on his chair in the sanctuary.  The $10 seed is chosen because he turned 37 (3+7=10).  If you are not able to do this, you can still sow love by writing him a short note, prayer, or poem of appreciation.  Knowing that the time and effort he sows is having a positive effect on your life will be a blessing to him as well.  So do whatever is in your power to do.  If you can do more than the $10, by all means do so.  However, please don't extend yourselves beyond your means.  We just want to show love to someone who constantly shows love to us.  We love you Pastor C....See you all on Sunday!
