It Can Be Fun!

Today's Passage: John 10: 7-10
Memory Verse: Jn 10:10

"Fun".  A word used to describe things we enjoy.  A word that tells others the event, place, or thing it's describing is something we'd love to do again.  That being said, can we use the word to describe our (Christian) lives?

We're Christians, so we can't afford to live boring, mundane lives.  Lives like those don't reflect the beauty of communion with God.  They don't communicate our freedom to the world.  Typically, people don't consider being saved because of what they feel they have to "give up" -fun.  They want Jesus, but they don't want the rigors of religion.  After all, it's hard enough trying to live "the life", but trying to do it while you're bored is nearly impossible.  Believers should have more fun than anyone in the world.  When I talk about lives that are fun, I mean lives that are free of the stresses and aggravations of the world.  God has everything about us under His divine control.  He orchestrates our lives everyday.  Those who live by this belief are afforded the right to live free from depression and sin.  Therefore, our spare time is filled with positive thoughts and blessings.

I challenge you to have fun with this.  You should be in a ministry that excites you.  One where you know God's spirit will live and move.  Are you bored with the same-ole same-ole?  Has your walk of faith become a stick in the mud?  If so, I pray for a fresh move of God's spirit in your life.  I pray that praise and worship energizes you like never before.  Don't let the world have more fun than you.  Get radical in your faith and go with it.  God's ready....are you?

Prayer: Father, I am so grateful that You've made provision for me to live life to the fullest.  Everyday, You give brand new mercies to cover me no matter what season I'm going through.  I make a decision today to live each day fully, not waiting for something big to happen, but realizing that it already has: YOU LIVE IN ME.  In Jesus' Name, Amen.
