Today's Passage: Isaiah 20
Memory Verse: Isaiah 20:31
The enemy is a very tricky magician. He spends all his time and invests all his effort into what things look like. He's a master at disguising things and making them look the total opposite of what they really are. The reason we fall for it is because we're usually focused on our own little world. It's not until sometime later that we see it for what it really was. The enemy took advantage of a moment of weakness in our lives, but we could quickly put him back in his place.
Which brings us to today's H.U.M.P. Day challenge. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that everyone needs a pick- me- up, a reminder that God has not forgotten His children. God wants us to trust Him, but we get worn down by the same old issues over and over again. These burdens can become so heavy that we find it difficult to become optimistic about our day-to-day lives. But God's Word today assures us that God is not limited to time and space, so we can trust Him to deliver us just like He promised.
Your assignment is to just be a living witness to the awesome power of our God. Let the strength of God shine through you as you go about your day in spite of the issues. Then, when the opportunity presents itself, seize it to encourage, encourage, encourage. Remind those who need it that those who wait on God will be strengthened and renewed. Share with them your own testimony of how God did this in your life. Nothing beats experience. Watch the way that person's face and heart lightens to hear what God has done. Then, give God praise for using you to bring Him glory. Have a blessed H.U.M.P. Day!
