Today's Passage: Genesis 6:5-7:24 (E100 Reading)
Memory Verse(s): Gen. 6:8
Happy Wednesday, Friends and Lifers! You know, it's an awesome thing to know what time we are living in. Matthew 24:37 tells us that the last days will be just like the days of Noah, and it wasn't until I read today's passage that I truly realized how real that saying was. In Noah's day, there was just as much evil as there is now. The Word says that it was nearly impossible to find righteousness in the lives of those whom God was searching for.
Then one tiny sentence jumps out at me: "BUT NOAH FOUND FAVOR IN THE SIGHT OF THE LORD.". Out of all the evil that made Him regret making man, there was one in whom He could place His vision and anointing. Noah was the only one He could share His plan with and trust Him to carry it out to fruition, knowing he would not grow weary in well-doing.
Today's challenge is to be one of the ones God will find living righteously in this evil time. Be found faithful to hear, receive, and carry out the Lord's plan for His end-time revival. For as much as God hates what is going on today, He loves the sinner even more. He knows what destruction His wrath would cause, so His arm of grace is stretched out wide to everyone who will listen. Let's be the ones to build the new ark today. It's a place of safety wherever we allow the presence of God to go with us -- in our offices, in our homes, at our schools, and even in our sanctuaries. There, God can use us to bring healing and restoration to the hurting by sharing with them the precious Word of God. And through our obedience, whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Prayer: Father, I so want to be the vessel that You can use to carry out Your Will. May we as a people not be found wanting as You search from heart to heart for those who are willing to spring into ACTION for Your glory. In Jesus' Name, Amen,
